How Can BuzzPixels Help My Online Marketing?
Pixel ads or pixel advertising has become a very effective phenomenon in driving both visitors and search engine robots straight to an advertiser's website and the BuzzPixels websites uses our own extensive experience with SEO, online advertising and online marketing to offer you the very best features.
Used as part of an overall online marketing and online advertising campaign, BuzzPixels can help your online marketing by:
- Driving "human" visitors and traffic to your website
- Building inbound links for SEO and Google™ PageRank™
It goes without saying that both of these should represent important elements in an online marketeer's/webmaster's drive for improved traffic and increased sales.

What Makes BuzzPixels Different?
We have tremendous experience with the online marketing industry and looked at the pixel advertising phenomenon with interest, but weren't 100% convinced that the incredible power of this medium was being offered in a package that would be useful to the serious advertiser.
To achieve the best possible medium, we've used our experience of online marketing and SEO to design the BuzzPixels website from the ground up. Five powerful design elements allow us to provide major advantages to our clients:
- Professional Management Console - Our web-based account management console is designed to both provide you with tremendous control over your advertising and be informative.
- Ad Copy - Let's face it, no human visitor is likely to click umpteen 10 x 10 pixel images until they find what they're interested in. That's why with BuzzPixels, you don't just get a single text field to describe your product - you get a "title" for your ad and two extra "description" lines.
Comparable to the type of ad you can get in major pay-per-click advertising providers (e.g. Google™, Yahoo™ and MSN™), this allows you to provide more detailed information about your product, service or website.
- Ad Exposure - Your ad copy not only shows up on the home page pixel grid (when you hover over your advert's pixel image), it's also displayed on most of the public-facing pages of the BuzzPixels website (you can see some on the right of this page).
With BuzzPixels' ad rotation system, every advertiser gets fair exposure of their advert in these slots. This extra exposure not only helps attract visitors, but it also provides you with more inbound links.
- (Behind-the-Scenes) Hyperlink Tooltip - The hyperlinks included with your advert also use the ad title and description text as the tooltip (HTML "title" attribute). Traditionally, this has been for the purposes of accessibility. However, this tooltip is also used by search engines to rank the destination page for specific keywords.
- (Behind-the-Scenes) JavaScript - Although JavaScript is used to achieve the mouse "hover" effect on the home page, with BuzzPixels your actual ad content is held as HTML, which means that your vital content will always be visible to search engines.
- (Behind-the-Scenes) Frames/Inline Frames - Frames have traditionally been a show-stopper for search engine robots. All of the pages on BuzzPixels are self contained, meaning that all of the content on the public-facing pages (including your ad copy) are visible to search engines.

What Content Can I Include in My Ad?
Each pixel ad has four elements, which give you plenty of freedom as regards the exact content:
- Pixel Image - This is the image that shows up on the pixel grid (e.g. your logo)
- Title - Up to 40 characters, this title serves two purposes: as the title for your ad for humans and as the text and tooltip for the hyperlink into your website for search engine robots
- Description - Consisting of two lines of 50 characters each, this again both lets you tell people more about your product, service or website and is also used as part of the hyperlink tooltip
- Display URL - The URL displayed with your ad
- Link URL - The URL where visitors will be sent when they click on you ad
Of course, we are looking to attract advertisers and webmasters who offer legitimate products or services and want to be able to provide them the assurance of an advertising medium that doesn't mix their ads with other "dubious" content. For this reason, all advertising with BuzzPixels is subject to our Editorial Guidelines.

What Image Types and Sizes Can I Use?
Your image can to be a GIF, JPG, PNG or BMP (although we recommend the use of GIF or JPG) and the file size must not exceed 0.5 MB.
There is no restriction on the pixel size of the original image itself but it will be displayed on the web page with a width and height to match the size of your pixel ad. To avoid pixellation or distortion, which can occur when browsers try to resize an image, we recommend that the original image that you upload matches the size of your pixel ad.
Note: If you are having problems with a JPG image displaying properly, it may have a colour profile embedded. If you are unsure how to remove the colour profile, please contact us.

Does My Image Have To Match The Exact Size of My Ad?
No. Other than the 0.5 MB limitation on the file size, there is no restriction on the pixel size of the original image. However, it will be displayed on the web page with a width and height to match the size of your pixel ad. Therefore, to avoid pixellation or distortion, which can occur when browsers try to resize an image, we recommend that the original image that you upload matches the size of your pixel ad.

Is My Ad Only Displayed on the Home Page?
No. For added exposure, your ad copy not only shows up on the home page pixel grid (when you hover over your advert's pixel image), it's also displayed on most of the public-facing pages of the BuzzPixels (you can see some on the right of this page). With BuzzPixels' ad rotation system, every advertiser gets fair exposure of their advert in these slots. This extra exposure not only helps attract visitors, but it is also for the benefit of search engine robots.
