Defamatory, Libelous, Slanderous ContentAdvertising that contains defamatory, libelous, or slanderous content is not allowed. Drugs and Drug ParaphernaliaAdvertising that promotes illegal drugs or related paraphernalia is not allowed. FinanceAdvertising of financial products may be restricted based on applicable laws. FirearmsAdvertising that promotes firearms or weapons of any kind is not allowed. FireworksAdvertising of fireworks is not allowed. Gambling ContentAdvertising of gambling-related content is restricted based on applicable laws. Hate SpeechAdvertising that facilitates or promotes hate speech, whether directed at an individual or a group, is not allowed. Illegal ActivityAdvertising that promotes or facilitates illegal activity is not allowed. Illegal Contests, Pyramid Schemes, and Chain LettersAdvertising that promotes illegal contests, pyramid schemes, or chain letters is not allowed. Pharmacies and Medical or Pharmaceutical ProductsAdvertisements for pharmacies and medical or pharmaceutical products are restricted based on applicable laws. Political ContentAdvertising that exploits sensitive political issues for commercial gain is not allowed. However, political advocacy is generally allowed. ProfanityProfanity is not allowed in an advert, nor is it allowed on the hyperlinked page of an advertiser's website. SoftwareAdvertising that promotes software that takes actions not expressly consented to by the user (dialers, for example) is not allowed. SpamAdvertising for bulk marketing products is not allowed if the intended use is unsolicited spam. Suffering and ViolenceAdvertising that advocates, glorifies, or promotes rape, torture, cannibalism, suffering, or death, or that displays graphic or violent images is not allowed. TrademarksNetfactors does not allow advertisements that contain content, the use of which would infringe the trademark of any third party or otherwise be unlawful or in violation of the rights of any third party, but might allow the use of a third-party trademark if its use is truthful and lawful, for example if:
Advertisers are responsible for ensuring that their ad content does not infringe or violate the intellectual property rights of others, including trademarks. If they are using a trademark in their ad, it is their responsibility to obtain permission to use that trademarked item. Netfactors will not serve as a negotiator between trademark owners and advertisers interested in using trademarked items in their ad campaigns. Trademark owners are responsible for contacting an advertiser directly if they feel that their trademark is being used improperly.
